«Education for sustainable development: synergy of competences for the recovery of Ukraine»(101178414 – SUSTED)

The general goal of the project is defined as contribution to strengthening the capacity of higher education institutions to advocate for sustainability in the post-war recovery of Ukraine through development of competencies for sustainable management and leadership.

The objectives of the project are as follows:

• to define the role and to assess the potential of universities in shaping the competencies of students in the field of sustainable development management;
• to develop and to implement course on sustainable development management for successful employment of graduates accordingly to the needs of Ukraine’s recovery;
• to develop transfer of knowledge mechanisms between HEIs through creation of a Virtual SD-Lab of sustainable actions;
• to support the coopetition between HEIs in the “business-university-community” triad and their capacity building to ensure sustainable growth.

The expected results of the project are defined as follows:

1.Forming of a consortium management system and communication channels, distribution of roles/responsibilities, quality assurance.

2. Sociological survey of three target groups about competencies in sustainable development; capacity building of trainers through study visits and training programs.
3. Creation of a virtual learning environment; scaling up the experience of trained trainers, holding the Sustainable Development Ambassadors Camp for students.
4. Desing the structure and training materials for the mixed course “Sustainable Development Management,” its implementation in higher education institutions in Ukraine; co-development of the textbook “Sustainable Management: Global Paradigm and National Challenges.”
5. Activities for project results dissemination the (public events; creation e-communication channel with stakeholders and dissemination of materials).
6. Expanding the network of beneficiaries – project results; shering project experience through created topics and formats, new skills; continuation of educational activities focused on SD.

The target groups of the project are: students of all levels of higher education; representatives of business, government, and communities; the academic community.
