About the project

As part of the European Union’s ERASMUS+ initiative, Polissia National University will implement the Jean Monnet module “The European Case for Inclusive Rural Development Policy: A Roadmap for Ukraine” (101082258-ECIDPR).

Project implementation period: 2022-2025.

The project aims to strengthen and promote European values within the framework of integration between government, business, and civil society through establishing a network for sustainable development, advocacy, and creating opportunities for inclusive socio-economic growth in rural areas.

The following are the project’s objectives:

1. to systematize and disseminate knowledge about the reasons behind the start of the EU rural development strategy, its phases of reform, its methods, and its outcomes in light of the escalating social challenges;
2. to analyze the methodology used to create and assess the outcomes of the EU rural development policy’s implementation, academic knowledge promotion, and assistance for experts and managers in the course of policy application policy while adhering to the inclusivity principle;
3. to establish a support network for inclusive rural development by coordinating communication between media, business and rural community leaders, and regional and local government officials to promote European values and modify inclusive development strategies to fit local conditions.

 

Project initiatives matrix:

The efforts of the project team will be directed toward promoting the establishment of an inclusive democratic space for the socio-economic development of rural areas as a favorable setting for habitation, economic activity, doing business, as well as sustainable growth of the endogenous potential of communities through the following

• creating a knowledge system on EU rural development policy and its promotion among educators, scientists, politicians, experts, and community leaders;
• networking based on European values and strategies to combat discrimination and achieve equality of opportunity.
