Carrying out the phases of project implementation
Thanks to the ERASMUS+ Jean Monnet Module project “Cohesion Policy of the European Union”, several thematic and practical training sessions were held for leaders and members of hromadas in the Zhytomyr Oblast. The goal of the implemented interactive activities was achieved, since this project provided broad information support on the positive impact of EU cohesion policy on the economic growth of European regions, exchanged experience, knowledge and skills between hromada representatives, presented the most successful practices of hromada management approaches based on European examples, and assessed opportunities for youth development and the formation of safe environments for professional growth. Together with the project participants, we had busy days communicating with various hromada representatives, with whom the prospects for participation in European projects, conditions for access to international grants, the experience of EU member states in overcoming regional disparities in economic development, and the EU’s institutional and financial capabilities to reduce regional development disparities were discussed. At the final stage, an interactive training “Integration of interests & hromada involvement – local strategies for hromada cohesion” was held for hromada leaders, which was attended by more than 30 hromada representatives who were given the opportunity to express their own views on hromada cohesion strategies based on European experience. At this phase, a common vision was reached on the effectiveness of the EU Cohesion Policy project.
